Parallel to the creation of shows, La Llave Maestra constantly develops other creative projects in various artistic languages, both within the company and in collaboration with other institutions and artists. Always experimenting and creating from the seal of the company where the game, surprise and simplicity, unveil poetic universes where reality acquires new meanings.
Multidisciplinary shows, operas, dance, contemporary circus, short animation films, video dance or photography are some of the creative projects that the company has developed in collaboration with artists and theaters in Chile and Spain such as; CircusTanzia Company (Spain), La Ortiga TDS (Spain), Circo del Mundo (Chile), Teatro del Lago (Chile), Diminuto Circus (Chile), Centro Cultural de España (Chile), Subhira (Chile) among others.
Ritual journey
In the year 2022, the renowned musician and composer Rodrigo Cepeda Subhira premiered his most recent and important multidisciplinary artistic project, in which around 100 people participated: Ritual,Journey a musical and experimental short film, shot in 4K in Valdivia, Santiago, Arica and Bolivia, in quadraphonic format.
Subhira invited La Llave Maestra to stage and design the 3rd movement of the work, called Xon Astral, based on the whale hunt by the Selknam people.
The film Ritual Journey shows the homonymous musical work composed by Subhira himself for symphony orchestra in 3 movements, based on the ritual music of three native peoples, Mapuche, Selk’nam and Aymara, and performed by the Los Ríos Philharmonic Orchestra.
The three movements, Mapuche, Selk’nam and Aymara, are represented in the film in a multidisciplinary way, through dance (choreographer Ricardo Curaqueo and dancer Josefina Greene for the Mapuche and Aymara story respectively), theater (La Llave Maestra Company for the Patagonia story), recorded music in different cinematographic formats and other manifestations.
