Nomads
To travel, to change, to be always in continuous movement… and in the middle of that movement something stops, a memory, a crack, a note escapes from the compass.
In their luggage they carry dreams to be fulfilled, cardboard boxes, suitcases that travel alone, trunks, rolls of plastic, coats that walk without people, people traveling in giant envelopes.
Nomads talks about the experience of the human being facing a situation of change of country, dismantling the house to travel and move in search of a new life.
Nomads stages the journey as a metaphor for life.
Three characters make a dreamlike journey into their fears, hopes, dreams and illusions, transforming reality into a poetic journey. Themes such as migration, loss and resilience shape this multidisciplinary work where visual and object theater, clowning, poetry, masks, dance and original music created for the show converge.
Nomads is a dreamlike journey into the imagination, an ode to the courageous act of traveling, of leaving behind the old to enter the unknown. A dance of emotions, a delight for the senses.
Nomads is a co-production between Spain and Chile; Teatro Principal Gayarre of Pamplona, La Llave Maestra, Fondo Iberescena and the cultural houses of Zizur, Burlada, Mutilva and Noain of Navarra Spain.
Premiered in 2015, Nómadas has had more than 100 performances throughout Chile and in theaters, fairs and festivals in Spain, Belgium, Argentina, Costa Rica, the United States and Mexico.
